Carpentry

The Work Ready Certificate / Carpentry is a 21 week program composed of 16 credit hours. This intensive certificate program offers a comprehensive introduction to basic carpentry technology, emphasizing safety and the use of carpentry equipment. The course leverages the Career Connections curriculum and is taught by an experienced carpenter. Designed for students aspiring to enter the residential, commercial, manufacturing, and mechanical industries, this program imparts essential carpentry skills necessary for the successful completion of various projects. 

Work Ready Certificate / Carpentry Curriculum

This certificate program requires 16 hours of coursework as follows:

 

COMP 101 : Introduction to Computers – 3 credit hours

WOSK 101 : Workplace Skills – 3 credit hours

CARP 101 : Beginning Carpentry – 3 credit hours

CARP 102 : Intermediate Carpentry – 3 credit hours

CARP 103 : Advanced Carpentry – 3 credit hours

CARP 104 : Carpentry Capstone – 1 credit hour
